What is Work Based Distance Learning?
Involving a range of key work-based management activities, the Work Based Distance Learning programmes allow students to build on their existing expertise to achieve a degree. Delivered via distance learning, these flexible, programmes can be completed within 13-24 months, depending on your individual circumstances and experience.
What courses are available to study via Work Based Distance Learning?
Students can choose to study towards a BA (Hons) Business Management, BSc (Hons) Engineering Management, BSc (Hons) Humanitarian Supply Chain Management, BSc (Hons) Logistics Management or a BSc (Hons) Retail Management via work-based learning.
How long does it take to complete the degree?
On average students complete the programme within two years. The minimum time it takes to complete is 13 months.
Who are the courses for?
Each programme is designed to meet the needs of students in any business who want to upgrade their qualifications to degree level.
What do I study on the programme?
A full list of modules can be found on the programme pages within the Work Based Learning section. The learning is structured around your current role allowing lessons to be applied in real time to relevant projects.
When can you start the programme?
You can join at three points throughout the year: October, February and May, ensuring you can get your qualification underway when it's convenient to you.

When is the application deadline?
Applications are accepted all year round and the deadlines are usually 5 – 10 working days before the start date. If you miss an application deadline your application can be deferred to the next intake.
